The Dolce Foundation Scholarship
The number of students on financial or governmental aid is staggering today. Based on data compiled by the U.S. Department of Education, National Center for Education Statistics (2015), not only do students need help, they need LOTS of help!
In 2012–13, the percentage of first-time, full-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduate students receiving federal grants at 4-year public institutions was 38 percent and 33 percent at private nonprofit institutions. Additionally, the percentage of students at 4-year institutions receiving state or local grants was highest at public institutions (37 percent), followed by private nonprofit institutions (26 percent) and 51 percent of students at 4-year public institutions received student loan aid. That’s more than half of every kid going to a 4-year institution!
The Dolce Foundation Scholarship was created to address this need and support students based on their academic achievements and financial need. In just our first three years, The Dolce Foundation has just provided its fifth needs based scholarship in support of these well deserving students.
Applications will be excepted through March 31st, 2016 for Fall 2016 Semester consideration
